People Can and Do Change, Dr R. Spitzer's Findings
Its is official. Same Sex Attraction (SSA) is not fixed. Dr Robert Spitzer, a psychiatrist carried out a study in 2001 when he met someone who claimed to be ex gay.
He says his views are now different from 10 years ago when like most psychiatrists he thought SSA was unchangeable. The study covered 200 people, all of whom had expressed a desire to change. It seems this may be necessary for the change to be effected. Spitzer was interviewed by Dr Throckmorton. Read the interview.
